Wire Drawing Process And Function Of Handboard Model

Introduction

Wire drawing is a common surface treatment technology, which is mainly used in metal products, but is also applicable to plastic and other products. It is mainly used for decorative appearance. It has been widely used and is loved by consumers.

Wire drawing process

The wire drawing process forms lines on the surface of the workpiece by grinding the product. It can not only change the original mechanical texture or surface defects, but also create a regular and relatively uniform new texture, achieving a decorative effect like silk satin.

Mainly used on stainless steel, aluminum, copper and other metal and plastic products.

We classify wire drawing according to its texture effects, which mainly include straight lines, random lines, threads, waves and spiral lines.

Types of brushed texture

① Straight brushed

Straight wire drawing is the main type of wire drawing at present . It uses mechanical friction to produce straight lines on the surface of aluminum plates, including continuous wire lines and intermittent wire lines.

Continuous silk patterns can be obtained by rubbing the surface of aluminum plate or other surfaces in a continuous horizontal straight line with a scouring pad or stainless steel brush.

By changing the wire diameter of the stainless steel brush, you can get different coarse and fine lines. Intermittent lines are usually produced on a brushing machine or a rubbing machine.

② Random brushed

An irregular, matte silk pattern with no obvious lines is obtained by rubbing the aluminum plate back and forth and left and right under a high-speed copper wire brush.

This type of processing has high requirements on the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloy plates.

③ Corrugated wire drawing

It is usually produced on a brushing machine or a rubbing machine. The axial movement of the upper set of grinding rollers is used to brush the surface of the aluminum or aluminum alloy plate to produce a wavy pattern.

④ Spiral brushed

Also known as rotogravure , it is a type of silk pattern achieved by rotating and polishing the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloy plates using a cylindrical felt mounted on a drill press and a mixture of kerosene and polishing paste. It is often used for decorative processing of circular signs and small decorative dials.

At present, wire drawing is mainly used in household appliance panels, digital product peripherals and panels, notebook computer panels, etc. It is also used in various signs, membrane switches , nameplates, etc.
